Boundary Layer Aerosol Transport Measurements in a Valley System. Part II.

Abstract

The study of distribution of aerosol particles in a mountain valley near Garmisch by release of fluorescent particles. During the diffusion experiments the profile of the air current through the valley is determined by pilot balloons at different places; the vertical temperature gradient is measured by radiosonde. Three field experiments were conducted and evaluated. The results will be related to the known diffusion models. Further experiments will be conducted and based on experiences made. (Author)
