Abstract

The National Center for Radiation Protection of the GDR (East Germany) is the national scientific center and control organ for all radiation problems coming from the peaceful use of nuclear energy, as well as questions of safety and is thus responsible for completion and protection, radiation therapy, nuclear environmental protection, nuclear-plant safety including research in the medical-biological and scientific-technological area necessary for it.
