Programming Languages for Communications Processors.

Abstract

This report describes the state-of-the-art in communications processing languages based on an evaluation of the literature. It also develops a rationale for the requirements for a communications oriented language. The approach taken is to examine the problem from the viewpoints of designing an appropriate language for communications processing and organizing and developing the compiler for that language so that it will generate computer code equal to an assembler language programmer.
