Theory and Design of Electrical Rotating Machinery.

Abstract

The objective of the program is to contribute toward new and improved rotating machines for Naval applications, with emphasis on superconducting machinery. Work has been performed on the theory of a.c. losses in multifilament superconductors and experiments were made to check the theory. A list of publications and abstracts of scientific papers published under the contract is given. A smaller amount of work was done in studying a superconducting heteropolar d.c. motor.
