Manual for Selection, Application and Cost Analysis of Central Building Automation Systems.

Abstract

The purpose of this manual is to present data and establish procedures which will assist Navy personnel and Architects-Engineers in the development of scope for central building automation systems (CBAS's) and the economic analysis required to justify the installation of such systems in existing Navy facilities or the incorporation of such systems in the design of new Navy facilities. The Manual has been written for the use of engineers experienced in the planning, design and/or construction of mechanical and electrical building systems and assumes their familiarity with the application of the conventional pneumatic-electric-electronic control techniques and systems incident thereto.
