A Computer Simulation of the Transient Behavior of the Compressor Research Facility Inlet System.

Abstract

This report describes a digital computer simulation of the dynamics of the inlet and its control for a compressor research facility. The simulation uses lumped parameters and the Tustin method for the dynamic terms. The report discusses the convergence technique used for iteration and a Bode analysis performed to determine the gains for the proportional plus integral control used to position the inlet valves.
