On the Distribution of the Likelihood Ratio Test Statistic for Compound Symmetry.

Abstract

In this paper the authors approximated the distribution of the likelihood ratio test statistic for compound symmetry with a suitable Pearson type distribution. Using this approximation, percentage points of the above likelihood ratio statistic are constructed. The accuracy of the approximation used is sufficient for practical purposes. The usefulness of these tables is illustrated with some data on frostbite experiments conducted by the USAF School of Aviation Medicine.
