The Effects of Practice and Positional Variables in the Acquisition of a Physically Complex Psychomotor Skill.

Abstract

The investigation (1) evaluates distributed/massed practice schedules for learning a physically complex psychomotor skill within the constraints of a real-world learning environment and (2) determines if there are interaction effects between practice and the positional variables in the acquisition of the skill. Distributed/massed practice was studied from two aspects: trial length and session length.
