Structural Optimization with Flutter Speed and Minimum Gage Constraints,

Abstract

An algorithm for structural optimization with flutter speed and minimum gage constraints is presented. The procedure automates the various steps leading to a move vector that would more likely be followed if there were interaction at every step between the analyst and the optimization process. Mathematical background is included and the method is illustrated with a numerical test case.
