Combat Processes and Mathematical Models of Attrition

Abstract

A general, heuristic scheme for classification of combat processes is presented. The context of the classification is that of computer simulation of theater-level, nonnuclear combat. General comments on attrition modeling are made and preferred attrition models are suggested for certain combat situations.
