Quantum Theoretical Studies of Gas-Solid Interactions.

Abstract

In this final report, the authors summarize the results of their theoretical investigations into gas-solid interactions. In order to provide a proper perspective, they succinctly compare their approach to the more traditional solid state approaches to this problem. As previous reports have described our earlier work in some detail, they briefly review this prior work here. The main emphasis of this report is on theoretical gas-solid studies completed during the past year, which is previously unpublished.
