Abstract

The principal objective of this study was to evaluate the advances in the uses of ceramics as engineering load carrying structural materials and to make recommendations for support of future developments, particularly for the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, and generally for the nation as a whole.
