Abstract

The report describes the first operational occupational survey of an officer utilization field. The survey was conducted by the Occupational Survey Branch, USAF Occupational Measurement Center, Air Training Command, during September-December 1974. In September 1973, the Air Force Human Resources Laboratory, as a result of extensive research, released methods for occupational analysis of officer utilization fields for operational implementation. This report describes the method used to conduct the officer survey, analysis of results of the survey, examples of the application of officer surveys to career field structure and training, and presents conclusions and recommendations about surveys of officer utilization fields.
