Smoke Seminar, 20 August 1974.

Abstract

This publication contains the written reports of those presentations given at a Smoke Seminar held on 20 August 1974 at Edgewood ARsenal, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The Seminar was held under the direction of the Munitions Systems Division, Development and Engineering Directorate, with the objectives of providing a forum for the discussion and exchange of ideas on broad spectrum smoke screening. It was anticipated that the informational exchange would identify current capabilities and technological pacing problems and place user requirements in a clearer perspective. The presentations discussed such subjects as aerosol IR attenuation, obscuration measurement, color specification, current smoke requirements and capabilities, and new smoke weapons. Color illustrations reproduced in black and white.
