The Relationship of the Quality of Delivered Products to Department of Defense Procurement Policies and Procedures.

Abstract

The relationship of the quality levels of delivered products to Department of Defense procurement policies and procedures was explored by Chi-square and multiple regression statistical tests on a quality audit program sample of San Antonio Air Logistics Center spare parts contracts. The procurement process variables studied were priority of requirement, complexity of item, comtrast specifications, type of inspection clause, type of solicitation, market environment, size of contractor, type of contractor quality capability evaluation, type of contract price agreement, type of contractual instrument, contract modifications, contract administration activity, and contract administration activity quality assurance functions.
