Abstract

The objective of this study was to conduct an analysis of the energy resources and programs of the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe and their relationship to the rest of the world. This appendix discusses in depth the coal resources and recoverable reserves in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe and provides a perspective for present and projected future energy requirements of these countries.
