Eight Channel Portable Data Acquisition System (SESPODAS),
Abstract
A portable data acquisition system was developed to record eight channels of model or full scale naval craft motion data. Six of the eight channels are dedicated to record roll angle, pitch angle, heave acceleration, surge acceleration, and sway acceleration signals provided by the system's transducers, and audio information (voice). Signals from two additional transducers, one of which can be the yaw rate signal provided by the system, can be recorded on the two remaining channels. This report discusses the system's features and installation, operation and maintenance procedures. (Author)
