Development of High Stability Fuel.

Abstract

A study of the effects of interactions between olefins and sulfur, nitrogen and oxygenated compounds in deoxygenated JP-5 has been initiated. This study is designed to determine what compound types can undergo interactions in this system and whether innocuous species may interact to form deleterious reaction products. The first interactions studied were between certain sulfur, nitrogen and oxygen compounds and olefins. These runs are complete. In addition, several runs have been made to investigate the interactions between nitrogen and sulfur containing compounds.
