Utilization of Junior Professionals at NELC.

Abstract

In this report, 'Sensing' interviews of junior professional hired as full-time employees in FY75 are used to develop a description in their own language of their understanding, from a variety of perspectives, of the degree to which their skills are utilized at the Center. Information from 29 interviews was compiled and presented to the junior professionals as a group so that they could make comments and ask questions. The findings fall into the following categories: (1) The work itself, (2) Interpersonal relations, (3) Communication, (4) Administration, and (5) Hiring. The results of the interviews are summarized and recommendations made.
