Enzyme Immobilization Alternatives For the Enzyme Alarm.

Abstract

Samples of glass beads, modified starch urethane pads, nylon and urethane enzyme products which passed wash-out resistance were sent to Edgewood Arsenal. Glass bead products and nylon products do not seem suitable for the alarm. Urethane pads including chemically coupled and cross-linked enzymes and modified starch show promise in the enzyme alarm. Storage of the enzyme is satisfactory in the cold cycle but not at high temperatures.
