Abstract

An assessment by a representative sample of pilots employed by an airline to operate the Russian short haul jet transport plane YAK 40 is made of several features: Acceptability of the cockpit layout and instrumentation; handling qualities; feasibility of the systems with regard to the pilot's workload.
