The Calculation of Millimeter and Submillimeter Wave Absorption Line Parameters for the Molecular Oxygen Isotopes: (16)O2, (16)O(18)O, and (18)O2

Abstract

Calculations are described which yield absorption line parameters for the three isotopes of molecular oxygen: (16)O2, (16)O(18)O, and (18)O2, in the format of the AFCRL Atmospheric Absorption Line Parameters Compilation. The line parameters are: transition frequency, integrated line strength at 296K, line width, lower-state energy, and identifying quantum numbers. These parameters are required as input to the SLAM program (described elsewhere) which calculates the attenuation vs. altitude at any fixed frequency in the millimeter-to- submillimeter wave region.
