Analysis of AMC's Use of Warranties,
Abstract
This report addresses the need of the Department of the Army to eradicate historical problems, such as pricing and enforcement, that have impeded effective use of warranties. The objectives of the study are to determine the appropriate circumstances, procedures and techniques required to effectively price and enforce warranties of equipment and equipment component fixed-price supply contracts. Recommendations are made in the report for improvement in policy and guidance and procedures that should improve the effectiveness of warranties.
