Determination of Poisson's Ratio for Various Glass Systems.

Abstract

Where glass and metal are used together in a structure subjected to large stresses, it is necessary, in order to avoid dangerous stress concentrations, to match not only the Young's modulus of the two materials but also the Poisson's ratio or any combination of two elastic constants.
