Analysis of Satellite Recordings Studies of Ionosphereic Slab Thickness,

Abstract

Hourly values of ionospheric slab thickness for a mid-latitude station over a seven year period have been used to study the variations of this parameter. A dependence of slab thickness on geomagnetic activity has been established. An empirical model of slab thickness has been developed which includes variations of a diurnal, seasonal nature as well as dependence on solar and geomagnetic activity. (Author)
