Relationship Between Intergranular Corrosion Susceptibility and Stress Corrosion Resistance of Aluminum Alloy Forgings.

Abstract

The objective of the program was (1) To establish an emperical correlation between severity of intergranular corrosion and time to failure caused by stress corrosion. (2) To establish a maximum level of severity for intergranular corrosion in aluminum forgings that may be used as an acceptance criteria.
