Thrust Augmenting Ejectors

Abstract

An overview of ejectors as thrust augmentors is presented including the motivation for and operation of thrust augmenting ejectors. Background studies involving jet mixing and diffusion studies are included as well as the state of the art in unsteady jet interactions. Examples of V/STOL aircraft designs incorporating thrust augmenting ejectors are shown and their advantages discussed.
