Army Utilization Management of Metallic Materials.
Abstract
Twenty metallic materials are reviewed in terms of: (1) geologic abundance in context with their current use and anticipated demand; (2) possible substitutes for those which may be in short supply; (3) those abundant materials which are currently underutilized; (4) conservation of these materials within the DoD; and (5) the potential for improved recycling. Recommendations are made to improve materials conservation and management technology. (Author)
