Frequency Response of a Segmented Delay Line Matched Filter.

Abstract

A filter matched to a phase shift keyed signal can be made with a tapped analog delay line by combining the outputs of the taps in accordance with the modulation pattern it is desired to match. If the signal duration or bandwidth is greater than delay line technology can accommodate, an equivalent matched filter can be made from several delay lines suitably interconnected.
