Development of a Lagrangian Quasi-Static Two-Dimensional Tokamak Model.

Abstract

Progress in the development of a 2D Lagrangian numerical model for computing the time dependent quasi-static evolution of a Tokamak discharge is discussed. A triangular tesselation of the computational domain is introduced which possesses arbitrary vertex connectivity and which, therefore, is not subject to all of the usual limitations of rectangular-grid calculations.
