Mechanical Property Data for Aluminum Alloy 2419-T851 Plate

Abstract

Tensile, fracture toughness, fatigue, fatigue crack growth, and stress corrosion properties for aluminum alloy/temper 2419-T851 two-inch-thick- plate were determined. The material was obtained from the Aluminum Company of Americal (ALCOA). Material property comparisons were then drawn between data developed from a single plate of the test alloy and aluminum alloy 2219 plate in the T851 heat treat condition.
