A Simulation Model for Multi-Channel, Time-Dependent Queueing Systems and an Application to Test and Evaluate an Analytical Model of the U.S. Army Acute Minor Illness Clinics.

Abstract

Many organizations exist within the Department of Defense which exhibit the properties of multi-channel, time-dependent queueing systems. One such system is the Army's Acute Minor Illness Clinic (AMIC). Models of this system can be developed to determine optimum staffing levels and to upgrade the quality of service provided. (Author)
