Abstract
Studies and research have been conducted on the Variable Affinity Barrier (VAB), tin oxide cold cathodes. These studies were directed toward elucidating the underlying mechanisms responsible for the emission of electrons from these structures; and, to establish optimum fabrication and activation techniques.
