Nonlinear Recursive Estimation of a Moving Target,

Abstract

This report considers the application of a Bayesian nonlinear recursive filter for optimal position estimation of a moving target from sampled intensity data. The a posteriori probability density is calculated recursively. The optimal estimator may either be the conditional mean (minimum variance) or the maximum a posteriori. (Author)
