Static and Fatigue Tests of F-111B Boron Wing Tip

Abstract

This report describes the structural integrity tests of the F-111B boron-epoxy wing tip. A single test specimen was subjected to static load tests, static load plus internal pressure in the fuel cell tests, a fatigue test simulating four service lifetimes and residual strength tests. Results are discussed.
