Data Acquisition and Test Team Capabilities Report.
Abstract
This report describes the data acquisition and reduction capabilities that are being provided by the Data Acquisition and Test Team, Aircraft Installation and Test Technical Area, Avionics Laboratory located in Fort Monmouth, N.J. The operating characteristics of each of the data acquisition systems are outlined ranging from a small cassette datalogger to a large scale, high speed, high density recording system. The data reduction capability is described in two sections: the Data Formatting Facility, which transcribes airborne recorded data onto computer compatible tapes; and the software capability, which provides data reduction and analysis programs for both mini- and large-scale computers. The report concludes with descriptions of past and present projects illustrating the applications of the various data acquisition systems.
