Abstract

This study, alternative 5 AM, contains data pertinent to the formation of the U.S. Army Development Center at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J., and the U.S. Army Logistics Command at Rock Island Arsenal, Ill. Among the topics considered are: Mission and Workload; Planned Action; Physical Installation Data; Manpower and Personnel Analysis; Economic Analysis; Energy Impact; Community Data -- Bachelor Housing, Cost and saving analyses, and Environmental impact. In addition to the above facilities, the report also studies the implications for the following: Aberdeen Proving Ground and Ballistics Research Laboratories; the following arsenals -- Edgewood, Frankford, and Watervliet; HQ, ARCOM; Naval Ordnance Test Station; Mobility Equipment Research Development Center; U.S. Army Tank Automotive Command; and U.S. Army Material and Mechanics Research Center.
