Optimization of Energy Usage in Military Facilities (Phase 1)

Abstract

A computer model was developed for predicting hourly building thermal loads and simulating the response of heating and cooling systems to these hourly loads. The rigorous algorithms employed in the program permit determination of the effects of building and system design variables on energy consumption. The report presents results of the program application to a test case building at four sites.
