Far Infrared Atmospheric Instrumentation and Measurements.

Abstract

Infrared Measurement Techniques were improved and developed under this contract. The efforts involved improving an existing interferometer-spectrometer, designing, and constructing an interferometer controller-monitor system, performing feasibility studies of new systems, and designing and constructing a Hadamard grating spectrometer system. Computer design techniques were used to perform much of the work. Measurements and tests were made with the systems, and data reduction was performed as needed. These systems were made for use on board aircraft.
