Omega Format Optimization.
Abstract
A history of considerations leading to the present recommended Omega transmission format is presented. Alternative formats are discussed. It is suggested that serious consideration be given to addition of a fourth commutated Omega transmission with corresponding deletion of transmissions at the second unique frequency. The impact of such an implementation is discussed; engineering details are outlined in appendices.
