A Comparison of Satellite Images Capable of Detecting Ocean Surface Features

Abstract

This study compares the capabilities of the images obtained from the archives for the satellites of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Defense Meteorological Satellite Program (DMSP), and Earth Resources Technology Satellite (ERTS) systems for displaying information about oceanic currents and circulation features.
