Studies and Code Development for High Temperature Plasmas.

Abstract

The authors discuss the studies and code development accomplished by SAI scientists in the investigation of high temperature plasmas. The work can be grouped broadly into high density plasmas produced by laser pulses or other means and low density toroidal tokamak plasmas. These studies are of critical importance to the eventual development of thermonuclear fusion reactors as a power source.
