Reduction of Thermal Blooming by Beam Optimization.

Abstract

During the past quarter progress has been made in the following areas: (1) Development work to improve the pulsed TEA laser source for pulse train propagation experiments; and, (2) the numerical modeling of the propagation through a GDL amplifier to investigate the feasibility of MO phase correction of blooming in a high power laser system.
