The Administration of Cost Accounting Standards.

Abstract

The study examined the administration of CAS (Cost Accounting Standards) by the relevant Federal agencies. Such aspects as the legislative history and intent of CAS or the research and development of standards were not emphasized. Due to the application of CAS to non-defense contracts through the Federal Procurement Regulations (FPR), non-defense agencies and contractors were also included in the study.
