Isotopic Components of Low Energy Light Nuclei in Cosmic Radiation Detected With Plastic Detector.

Abstract

An experiment was performed to observe and analyze the isotopic components of low energy light nuclei, especially beryllium, in cosmic rays. Plastic sheets consisting of 50 layers of Daicel and Kodak cellulose nitrate (CN) were flown from Fort Churchill, Canada in 1971 for this purpose. The theoretical and experimental results, as well as their analysis, are presented in this report.
