Software for an Experimental Air-Ground Data Link. Volume II. System Operation Manual.

Abstract

The Data-Link communications system is a dual-computer, simplex system designed to provide a test bed facility to determine the link management requirements for a Data-Link in an air traffic control environment. The system provides the facility for investigating system entry techniques, polling schemes, error coding and detection, message priority structure, message queue requirements and frequency management requirements. The material contained in Volume II describes the system operation and is intended as a user's guide.
