External Barrel Temperature of the M16A1 Rifle

Abstract

The test program studies external barrel temperature of the M16A1 Rifle and the dependence of barrel temperature on the following five PARAMETERS: radial location on barrel, longitudinal location on barrel, rate of fire, mode of fire, and type of ammunition.
