Migration of Apiezon C on Metal Substrates Under the Influence of Temperature Gradients: Mathematical Model.

Abstract

A computer program has been generated that describes the temperature-gradient-induced migration of oil films reported previously. It has been demonstrated that gravitational effects are negligible for such thin films therefore, the results of our earth-based experiments should not differ significantly from results expected in space. The dominant driving forces are due to surface tension effects alone. (Author)
