Interaction of the Drops of Polydisperse Condensate During Flow in Nozzles,

Abstract

For a series of practical problems there is considerable interest in the nonequilibrium flow of a two-phase mixture, which consists of gas and polydisperse drops of the condensed phase. Since the degree of entrainment of particles by the accelerated gas flow substantially depends on their dimension, in nozzle occur mass collisions of the drops of different dispersity, which unavoidably leads to agglomeration or to the fragmentation of the clashing drops. In this article is given the method of the calculation of nonequilibrium two-phase flow taking into account coagulation and fragmentation of drops.
