Digital Orthophoto Study.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate a number of fast and flexible alternatives in the area of automated cartography as they apply to the production and utilization of digital orthophotos. Three digital algorithms and their associated techniques were developed to generate orthophotos. The primary utilization of digital orthophotos is in data base applications. Concepts and techniques for the construction, maintenance and exploitation of such a normalized data base are discussed. A review of existing orthophoto techniques is provided for comparison and trade-off determination purpose. (Author)
